The lamp, inspired by a coneflower, is based on the Fibonacci sequence of numbers.
FOC is a pioneering design ans research company, specialized in designing for Rapid Manufacturing. The outcome of this work is either part of the FOC Collection or commercialized by other design labels.
FOC was founded in Helsinki, Finland and is now located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Janne Kyttänen bio (1974 Hämeenlinna (FI))

Janne Kyttänen started his studies in industrial design at the Escola de Disseny (Elisave) in Barcelona in 1996. He then moved to the Netherlands and graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2000.

During his studies Janne proved the potential that Rapid Prototyping techniques can be used as manufacturing tools. He introduced a line of Augmented Reality and Rapid Manufactured based products as his graduate thesis. This project laid the foundation for FOC, a company called Freedom of Creation (FOC) that he founded in 2000.

Janne lives in Amsterdam, working as Designer and Creative Director of FOC.
