M_US__EUM‘ is an edition of 3 and it will be published and appear in the book:BEYOND TREND | How to Innovate in an Over-designed World (Hardcover) by Matt Mattus (Author) in Spring 2008.

TJ Norris and Scott Wayne Indiana have already showed M_US__EUM at the Museum of Contemporary Craft and at Aqua Miami Art Fair.

TJ Norris (1965, Boston) has been living in the Pacific Northwest since 2001. His photographic, sculptural and installation work has shown and been collected throughout North America and in Europe. Between 2002-03 he operated Soundvision, a multimedia gallery and installation space. His work has been called conceptual, ascetic and minimal and is published by MIT Press, Innova Recordings, New American Paintings, Visual Codec, among others. The recipient of a Massachusetts Arts Lottery Grant, Norris is also an independent curator and freelance writer. (have a look at his amazing portfolio here)

Designer, trend hunter and horticulturist Matt Mattus is the author of Beyond Trend, How to innovate in an over designed world (July 2008), published by How Design Books, an imprint of F&W Publications. He is also the Creative Director of Entertainment and Intellectual Property Development for toy maker Hasbro. Matt lives and gardens in Worcester, Massachusetts. Matt also publishes the popular gardening blog, Growing with Plants and is editor for the Journal of the American Primula Society.

New American Art Union is pleased to announce the stipend recipients for Couture (2008-09). TJ Norris is one of the 10 artists of “Couture”. His exhibition is callled “Electric Pictures” and debuts in May.
