Series X, an innovative and exciting range of contemporary multifunctional furniture comprising seat, table and footstool.
Each product has a continuous loop form in a unique profile, which enables it to be rotated into different positions offering maximum versatility – upright, recliner and perching stool, coffee table, side table and foot stool, all matching each other’s heights and uses.
Brilliantly designed, crafted to the highest standards and an absolute visual delight.Manufactured by laminating CNC-cut exterior grade birch-faced plywood sections and finished with a water-based clear lacquer, the products are available in single and double seating sizes in solid timber, fully weather-proofed and perfectly happy used in or outside the home. When being used externally, the products should be waxed on an annual basis prior to the onset of winter.
All timber used for the manufacture of Series X has been selected from sustainable managed sources authenticated by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
Standard lengths are 600cm, 1200cm and 1500cm, but non-standard lengths are available on request.

Graeme Massie graduated from Dundee University in 1992 and qualified as a Chartered Architect in 1995. He gained a wide experience of practice in Glasgow, Singapore, London and Edinburgh, where he was an Associate with LDN Architects.
Graeme established Graeme Massie Architects in 2004. The company is based in Edinburgh and focuses on the successful delivery of design excellence in architecture and interiors and, in the short period since its formation, has won a number of prestigious awards.
Apart from working on architectural projects, Graeme also teaches part-time at Newcastle University.

Series X is the first range of furniture Graeme designed for the company OUTGANG.

OUTGANG
Founded in 2005, Outgang is a Scottish based product design and development company driven by a strong commitment to distinction in design and manufacture.
It commissions guest designers rather than operates its own in-house design team, resulting in fresh and original high spec contemporary products which are wholly in tune with the company’s philosophy: to create simple, functional and well-crafted products of the highest quality design and manufacture. They strongly believe that innovative design can dramatically improve the quality of our lives and our environment.
And that’s one belief we at Within4Walls share wholeheartedly.

The first designs Outgang put in production have come from established and award-winning designers, but future designs will also come from less well known names as the company firmly intends to stimulate and work with up-and-coming design talents.
It sets its designers a clear framework in which to develop ideas, accurately evaluates the resulting designs and then uses its expertise to source suitable manufacturers while constantly reviewing developments in terms of materials and manufacturing techniques.
Outgang’s products are manufactured from timber selected from sustainable managed sources authenticated by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Every product is protected by copyright, bears a discrete Outgang™ stamp and is given its own identification number which is registered centrally at Outgang Ltd.
